Many people panic when the deadline is only days—or even hours—away, while the work hasn’t been touched at all. This phenomenon is quite common and has interesting explanations.

FEAR OF STARTING

The beginning of a task often feels like the hardest part. Doubts and anxiety make someone delay taking the first step.

TRAPPED IN MULTITASKING

Doing many things at once splits your focus. The main task ends up being ignored until the deadline approaches.

LACK OF PREPARATION AND PLANNING

Without a clear plan, the brain often feels confused about where to start. This lack of clarity leads us to choose procrastination instead.

STRESS THAT INCREASES PROCRASTINATION

The closer the deadline, the higher the pressure. But for some people, the pressure makes them freeze and struggle even more to begin
